Terms of Service

lnbay is a peer-to-peer marketplace that allows registered users ("Sellers") to list physical goods and digital services for sale, and other users ("Buyers") to purchase them. Payments are processed exclusively via the Bitcoin Lightning Network and denominated in satoshis (sats).

lnbay is a marketplace platform only. We are not a party to any transaction between Buyers and Sellers, and we do not take custody of funds beyond the brief period required to forward a Lightning payment to the Seller's Lightning address.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use lnbay. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

lnbay is not available where prohibited by law. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the platform complies with all laws applicable to you.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Usernames are unique and permanent. If you delete your account, your username is permanently reserved and cannot be registered again by any other user.

You may not create more than one account, transfer your account to another person, or use another person's account without their explicit permission.

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and fulfillment of their listings. All prices are set by Sellers and denominated in satoshis. A 5% service fee is added to each order at checkout and is non-refundable.

Buyers agree to pay the full invoiced amount via Lightning before an order is confirmed. Payments are final once sent on the Lightning Network.

Sellers must fulfill orders within a reasonable timeframe. For physical goods, this means shipping with a valid tracking number. For services, this means delivery within the stated number of days.

Refunds are at the Seller's discretion. If a Seller initiates a refund, it is sent as a Lightning invoice that the Buyer must pay (i.e., the Seller pays the Buyer back on-chain or via Lightning). lnbay does not process refunds on behalf of Sellers.

You may not use lnbay to list, sell, or facilitate the sale of:

• Illegal goods or services in any jurisdiction
• Counterfeit, stolen, or fraudulent items
• Weapons, ammunition, or controlled substances
• Content that exploits or harms minors
• Financial instruments, securities, or investment products
• Services designed to deceive or defraud others

You may not use lnbay to harass, threaten, or abuse other users, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, scrape or automate use of the platform without permission, or manipulate reviews or ratings.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice, at lnbay's sole discretion.

lnbay charges a 5% service fee on each completed transaction. This fee is collected at checkout and deducted from the amount forwarded to the Seller. The fee is non-refundable regardless of order outcome.

We reserve the right to change our fee structure at any time with reasonable notice posted on the platform.

All content on lnbay — including the name, logo, design, and code — is the property of lnbay and may not be used without written permission.

By posting listings, images, or descriptions on lnbay, you grant lnbay a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and reproduce that content solely for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

lnbay is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

We make no representations about the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing. Buyers transact with Sellers at their own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, lnbay and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of funds, loss of data, or failed transactions.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the service fees paid by you to lnbay in the 30 days preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless lnbay and its operators from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your listings, your transactions, or your violation of these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your username will be permanently reserved and your personal data will be removed, though transaction records may be retained as required by applicable law.

lnbay reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion, including for violations of these Terms, without prior notice or liability.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of lnbay after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of lnbay shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
